Bab 12: Ch. 12 Raiton Release: Chakra Mode
After everything was completed for a defensive position. All the Jonin regroup for a final discussion. The Jonin splits into groups of two where one is for immediate response and place in shift and the other for management where Tsuki was chosen to lead until Shin recovers.
So, those who were on duty immediately departed leaving the meeting area to be silent until one Jonin broke the silence and discussion followed among them.
"You know, I can't get it out of my head that if Leader Shin had taken the offer. What would make it of us? With a powerful dojutsu, proficient in illusion and Raiton jutsu. If given a choice, I would follow Leader Shin." Jonin laughed after finishing what he wanted to say but was cut off with a swat to his head.
"Quite your nonsense, but Ai, the next candidate for Rekage did claim that Leader Shin is more qualified to inherit the title of Hokage than Minato-sama, the Yellow Flash." this statement immediately caught everyone's attention.
Tsuki had a frown on his face when he heard this, looking at the silent faces around him. He just took in a deep breath and started to explain this matter to prevent misunderstanding.
" Things are not as simple as you think. Yes, Leader Shin was said to be as the Rekage candidate claimed but that is his view, not Konoha's. Tell me what would happen when the two Root ninjas reach Konoha... Wait, they don't need to even reach Konoha, just the headquarters and report that Leader Shin, An Uchiha had sabotaged them and taken their place as leader and caused the death of the entire deployment of Shinobi that was sent to defend this position.
Yes, as you said. We are still alive. But, did you forget who Root Ninja works under? Again, even if this matter reached the Hokage, which later resulted in The Roots being punished. Would we be left alone?" Tsuki looked at everyone present, hoping his intent was comprehended.
Everyone was silent since they remembered the incident that happened before regarding a failed mission due to its leader prioritizing its members and not the mission. Even if the mission currently was a success the result from it might not be any different from the incident.
Some of the older Jonin who know the system from the inside can tell that Leader Shin coming out into the limelight will cause a rift among the higher-ups, and knowing A single member among the top brass who considers Konoha as his playground would never leave Leader Shin alone.
Inu Fang, who was sitting next to Tsuki was frowning. His face became more contemplated when he heard what Tsuki had said; " So, should we inform the Leader regarding this matter? This is not a simple thing to be left alone and we need to help the Leader as much as we can. We owe him that much."
"What? Inu, are you looking down on Leader Shin? Please, calm down. I am not patronizing you. Just think for a bit.
Leader Shin had hidden his talent for so long, so much so that even his clan failed to realize him. With such ability, do you think Leader Shin doesn't know how the background matters work?
Anyway, he did say to us that all we need to do is to just believe in him. So, all we can do is prepare everything for him and watch the show. We might never even meet with him again after all of this and the war ended. Just hold on for a while longer and we will be with our family again."
Tsuki finished what he wanted to say and started to hand out duty to those under the management team and those who were not, going around to help where they could.
"So, the Leader is proficient in Raiton Release and he manages to learn a high-level Jutsu in just 3 days. Do you think he would try to learn the Jutsu he took from Kumo?" A Jonin spoke up hoping to cut the heavy atmosphere that had built up from the previous talk.
"Well, he did develop a new Jutsu at the same time as he was learning the Jutsu Tsuki had given him. So, I believe he can manage. Even if he doesn't have the fizikal similar to Ai."
"True, he did learn my Jutsu in a short time. If he succeeds in learning that Jutsu, I will gladly propose a marriage between the Leader and my Daughter."
"Shut it, Tsuki. You already have Inu's son as a candidate. My two daughters would be a good match for the Leader."
"Hah, again you are talking from your rear, old fool. Do you think your daughter a good wife material, one is already in her 30s and the other is a bear if look up close. Ha ha ha ha."
The silence was gone again and the talk resumed with benter and light talks. Meanwhile, all this happened Shin who was still in the cave didn't know that he was the main topic of discussion and that the candidate for his father-in-law was rising as it continued.

"Shizune, I am fine. Please, just focus on the injured. I can handle myself and my chakra is already recovered." Shin spoke with a tired face.
Shizune had come to Shin multiple times to check on him to the point that she was bothering him but Shin didn't speak it out loud and kept trying to convince her that he was all right.
"You keep saying that, but you have just fought an S-level Ninja. No one comes out from a fight like that without extreme injuries;" Shizune pressed on. " Now let me examine you one more time."
Seeing the opportunity to end this quarrel and tease Shizune, Shin put down the scroll in his hand and started to undress. He started with his battle-vast, iner-shirt but stopped and looked at Shizune with an unabashed face.
Shizune's face was bright red, looking at Shin's shirtless form. When she saw his face, her face became even more red than it was before. Not wanting to endure the embarrassment anymore. She took Shin's shirt from his hand and tossed it to his face and started walking back to the injured at the back of the cave.
Shin just looks at Shizune walking away from him. He just chuckles listening to the profanity that Shizune was speaking out toward him. When Shizune's voice was no longer heard, Shin just put back on his clothes and refocused back on the scroll. Trying to take in as much as he can with his Sharingan.
After a while of self-study, Shin put the scroll away. He got up and positioned himself in a calm stance, circulating his chakra once over throughout his body. When he felt that he was ready, Shin started to make a hand seal for the jutsu.
As he made the seal, Shin molded his chakra mirroring the seal. The purpose for doing so is just that he can utilize this jutsu as the Rekage does. By making this jutsu a sealless jutsu.
Shin progresses slowly with no intention to rush things. With one seal at a time, Shin took his time to mold his chakra. As he proceeded, a blue wisp started to emerge from his body. After that, static can be seen when he reaches the middle of the jutsu seal. Small arcs of electricity start to form from his hand and legs going up toward his torso. When it reached, Shin instantly cut the seal and took in deep breath. He quickly inspected his body and found bruises at the place where the arc had connected to his torso.
"Well, my intuition was correct. One needs a superior fizikal to utilize this Jutsu. Is a good thing I took things slowly.
I never would have thought that learning a jutsu that was made to enhance one own body is much different than learning a jutsu that was made to be thrown at the enemy.
Even my system didn't react the same when I learned the jutsu that I got from Tsuki. At that time I just needed to read the scroll, but now it looks like I need to familiarize my body first with the jutsu."
Seeing no other way around, Shin decided to continue by repeating the method. Before that, Shin contemplated if he should call Shizune to heal his bruises first but remembered how pestering she could be. And if she found out that he was learning a dangerous jutsu without proper supervision. Shin just shivers picturing her reaction. With his mind made up, Shin fixed his clothes back and proceeded with the method and repeated until he heard the sound that would bring all this to a stop.
Shin continues to practice using the methods and tries to make his body get used to the feeling of flowing electricity throughout his outer body and circulating it into a perpetual motion so that his body doesn't get too burdened for maintaining this Jutsu.
Multiple times during practice, Shin had to cut off midway when he felt any pain in any part of his body. Shin didn't just practice how to learn this jutsu from the scroll. With the Sharingan, the user was granted a photographic memory. So, he was replaying his fight with Ai, trying to understand how he managed to use this jutsu as he did. With how Ai circulates his Chakra, his posture when he wants to make an attack, and many more. While doing so, Shin also reread the Scroll that had imprinted into his memory. Trying to deepen his understanding by reflecting the both as he practices.
After some time had passed, Shin set back down and inspected his condition.
"It looks like I need to ask Shizune to heal me if this continues. And my Chakra has been depleted to half just by practicing. I really need to find a chakra source, if I continue like this I can't even utilize this jutsu for a longer period in combat.
I can't accept this. Just 3 jutsu I was near Chakra exhaustion and if I used this jutsu after I managed to gain it, in tandem with my other normal jutsu. It will only last for a few minutes with the amount of chakra I have.
Now I know why that guy even let me have this jutsu without worry because if anyone tries to learn without proper preparation. That poor sod would just explode on the first try. It's like he was setting a trap by giving me this jutsu. But, I am lucky for my Sharingan. It is truly a cheat."
Shin mumbled to himself and chuckled at the end of it. As he was about to stand back up to continue to practice, he heard the sound he was waiting for.
[Ding! A Jutsu and a set of Seal had been detected! Do the Host want to use the one click-upgrade]
Shin sat back down, feeling satisfied. He wants to continue the order but stops when he realizes a section of the notification.
Intrigue, Shin straightened his back and crossed his legs. He took a couple of deep breaths and focused. Not much longer, an arc of electricity started to form around him and it was gone the next second. Shin opened his eyes and smiled wide.
"Use one-click upgrade on the jutsu only. The other one I want to master it myself."
[Ding! Chakra Mode is at full level.]
Shin quickly got up and started making hand seals for the jutsu. When he finished, Shin shifted into a ready posture and it was not the arc of electricity that came out but an arc of lightning. However, the lightning didn't affect the surroundings of the inner cave. It instantly covers Shin from head to toe. It forms like an armor around Shin, it moves like a wave protecting Shin from anything that dares to harm him.
Shin could feel it, his eyes became more sharper and observant. He can feel that his body can move much faster than before. His body vibrates with excitement every time he thinks just moving. He also realizes that his thinking speed and reaction have doubled than before.
Shin just chuckles lightly, imagining how more powerful he can become when he uses this jutsu in tandem with his Sharingan.
"Now, I need a Chakra battery for myself."
