Bab 445: Islinda Is Dead

The door burst open, startling Islinda from her sleep. She spun her head in that direction, her eyes widening as she saw who it was.

"Eli…." Islinda croaked, feeling a mix of shock and relief wash over her. She was so glad to see him in one piece. However, she couldn't contain her questions and started bombarding him with them as she sat up.

"What's going on, Eli? How did you get out? Andre said you were imprisoned…." She tilted her head, scrutinizing him. "Which of you am I even speaking to right now, Eli or Aldric?"

"Excuse me, princess, but there's plenty of time for questions later. Right now, it's time to run," he said, urgently urging her off the bed and helping her to her feet.

"Run?" Islinda's heart skipped a beat, even though she was relieved to see the softer side of Aldric. She trusted that he would keep her safe.
