Bab 262: Have Her For Dinner

Issac woke to horse hooves in his face and his heart leaped to his throat just as he scrambled away, stopping short of being trampled as Maximus hauled to a stop. 

With his heart pounding in his throat, Issac stared at the horse with shock and disbelief, while Maximus' large blue orbs bored into his with hostility. He knew it. He shouldn't have stayed behind. Now she was trying to kill him. 

The atmosphere between them was charged and when Maximus stilled, Issac might have let out a breath of relief thinking that it was over. However, that pause was for the horse to shift, because standing in Maximus' place now was Maxi and she was stark naked. Issac swallowed. 

"The Fae be damned, what are you doing in here?!" She queried him immediately with her fierce gaze.
