Bab 668: Taken Away

With anticipation hanging high in the air and the entire council hall buzzing with holy chanting, Evanthe suddenly felt a shift, each of her senses going on high alert as she looked toward the huge closed doors of the council hall.

Slam!

The massive doors swung open with a force that disturbed the entire hall, leaving everyone in shock. They stood up from their chairs, eyes wide with confusion and alarm. Arlan, who was just about to pierce his canine into Oriana's neck, stopped, and both of them turned to face the door, just like everyone else.

In the next moment, a rock flew into the council hall with immense force, dragging a familiar woman in dark clothes along with it as she struggled to hold it back, exhausting her powers against it.

"Dray," Evanthe called out for her son, recognizing the urgency of the situation.
