Bab 614: Summoned To The Royal Court

"You have been summoned to the royal court. Get ready quickly," Arlan instructed.

"To the royal court?" she asked in surprise. "For strangling that vixen?"

Arlan nodded and pulled the string of the bell in the chamber.

"Yes, Your Highness," came the servant's voice from outside.

"Quickly bring a meal for Her Highness. Do not warm it, just bring it as it is."

"Yes, Your Highness."

Understanding the urgency, Oriana said, "Let me have a quick bath," and turned toward the side chamber. But Arlan held her in place and guided her to stand in front of the mirror. "No need. You already look fresh."

"But still…"

"If you waste time bathing, you won't have time to eat. And I don't want to risk taking a hungry and irked demoness to the royal court. Stand here; I will get your clothes."
