"Isn't being able to use him against you sufficient?" Oriana retorted. "What does it matter if I don't know who he is or which race he belongs to?" A teasing smile played on her face. "If you tell me, I might even grant you an extra drop of my blood, so you won't be lacking during the ritual."

Edna recognized the sarcasm and snorted, "Discover it on your own."

"Fine, I'm not interested in knowing about him anyway," Oriana stated dismissively.
