And as the two friends embraced, Lucien watched from the doorway, his expression inscrutable. He knew that their moment would have to wait - for now, his attention was needed elsewhere.

Lucien made his way down the hallway and entered the hospital director's office. Meanwhile, Vivienne turned her attention to Amara, checking to make sure she was completely okay.

"Do you feel any discomfort anywhere?" Vivienne asked, her concern evident in her voice.

Amara shook her head slowly, reassuring her friend that she was alright. Vivienne couldn't help but express her worry, still shaken from the news of Amara's recent incident.

"I was so afraid when I heard what happened to you," Vivienne said, her voice trembling slightly.

Amara smiled, amused by her friend's overprotective nature. "Oh, how adorable. My friend still cares so much about me, even after getting married without telling her friends!"

Vivienne blushed, feeling embarrassed by Amara's teasing. "I didn't have time to inform you, okay? The circumstances just weren't right," she explained, pouting slightly.

"Alright...alright, I won't tease you!" Amara's expression softened, her eyes betraying the warmth she always felt for her dear friend Vivienne. A small smile played at the corners of her lips, grateful for Vivienne's presence.

As she took in her surroundings, Amara couldn't help but feel a sense of confusion. The room was lavishly decorated with high-end furnishings and emanated a pleasant aroma that seemed to calm her nerves. She furrowed her brows, wondering if she was still in the hospital or if she had been transported to someone's home.

"Well," Vivienne began, noticing the puzzlement on Amara's face, "the previous hospital wasn't able to do anything about your condition, so my husband helped you shift into Nexus General Hospital for your treatment."

The words hung in the air, and even Vivienne herself was surprised by the luxuriousness of the patient room. Amara's surprise was an understatement. The room was fit for royalty, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as she took it all in.

"What...that no.1. Hospital in the country, how...did you even get me to treat here so fast, shouldn't be hard for making reservation with how busy the Hospital usually is!" Amara's voice was tinged with shock as she struggled to comprehend how her friend had managed to secure her a spot in the renowned Nexus General Hospital. She had seen countless headlines touting the hospital's cutting-edge treatments and their high success rates, but she had never imagined that she would have the chance to experience it firsthand.

Vivienne's face lit up with a small smile as she replied, "My husband is Lucien Sterling, so you should know the connections or influence the Sterling family has over any industry, much less in medical industry so he was able to pull a few strings to get you in. We knew how important it was for you to receive the best possible care, and we weren't going to settle for anything less."

Amara nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. She knew that her condition was serious, and she needed the best possible care to ensure a full recovery. The fact that her friend had gone to such great lengths to ensure her well-being touched her deeply.

"Hey, let's leave that aside for now," Vivienne interjected, sensing Amara's worry. "Your colleagues have been waiting for quite a while, and I had to send them home as we had no idea when you would regain consciousness."

Amara nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her caring colleagues. They were more than just coworkers - they were like family to her, and she knew that they would be devastated if anything happened to her.

"Oh, those guys! Please, inform them that I am alright." Amara's voice was filled with relief, knowing that her colleagues would be happy to hear that she was okay. At the same time, she couldn't shake off the lingering worry about her mother.

Vivienne seemed to sense her friend's unease and said, "I think your mother hasn't gotten the news yet, so you don't have to worry about her being worried sick unless someone informs her."

Amara breathed a sigh of relief, feeling grateful that her mother was still in the dark about the accident. She couldn't bear the thought of her mother being in a state of worry, and the mere idea of it was enough to send shivers down her spine.

"Phew...hope she doesn't find out about it, otherwise, I don't know how worried she might become!" Amara's voice was tinged with concern as she thought about her mother's well-being. She knew that she would have to find a way to break the news to her gently, but for now, she was content to bask in the warm glow of her friend's company, grateful for her presence and unwavering support.

As Amara expressed her worries about her mother, a heavy silence filled the room. Vivienne understood the weight of Amara's concern, as she had seen the struggles of Amara's mother firsthand. The two friends shared a deep bond that went beyond their professional partnership, and Vivienne knew that she would do anything to alleviate Amara's burden.

"Let's hope she doesn't find out," Amara repeated, her voice filled with anxiety.

Vivienne placed a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder. "Don't worry, Amara. I'll make sure to keep her in the dark until you're fully recovered. We don't want to add to her worries, do we?"

Amara gave Vivienne a grateful smile, her worries momentarily lifted. She knew that her friend would always have her back, no matter what.

....

On Nexus General Hospital's Director Office,

"Hello, Master Sterling," the director of the large hospital greeted him with a flattering smile, trying to win his favor. "How come you came to the hospital? If you needed anything, you could have called me, and I would have come running at your service!"

Lucien regarded Mr. Boran Mael with an icy demeanor, his face betraying no emotion. "You know, Mr. Mael, I never doubted my father's decision to support this hospital, even after he and my mother left this world. Even when the hospital couldn't find the reason for my coma and wake me up, I never lost faith in it. But now, I hear something disturbing about what has become of this hospital."

When Lucien first heard the rumors, he didn't believe them. But he sent his trusted butler James to confirm the information, and what he found made him angry. This hospital was one of the things his parents started, and he felt emotionally attacked by what happenings in the dark inside the hospital. The anger he felt was so intense that it made him abnormally calm.

Mr. Mael, sensing the tension in the air, tried to placate Lucien. "I assure you, Master Sterling, that everything is under control. We have the best doctors and nurses, and we are doing everything we can to keep the hospital running smoothly."

Lucien's eyes narrowed, his lips curling into a sneer. "Is that so?" he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
