Bab 230: Changes

As soon as Cael stepped outside, carrying an unmoving body in each hand, he was assaulted from all sides.

"Daughter!"

"Janus!"

"Master!"

"Cael, what the hell happened with your hair?"

The last question made him blink. With some caution, Cael ran a palm over his scalp, and found with a start that his hair felt as good as before it all fell out. Maybe even better—this hair felt smoother and thicker.

"What's up with my hair?" Cael asked, looking around. "And how long was I there?"

He didn't think a lot of time passed. The people present in the hall now were more or less the same that Cael saw when he left. Ginevra and Mimi on one side, Reiner and a couple of guards on the other, and German between them, wearing a swatch of bandages instead of a shirt. Near a wall, two vampire elders stood, watching in shock.
