The king finally came to his senses. "What treachery!" he sputtered, glaring at the Duke Belpaese's body. "An assassination attempt! Who else is on this? Can I trust any of my vassals anymore?! "Your Majesty, the guards did their best. None of us even dreamed about attacking you like this," a tall, dark-haired nobleman with an extremely dry expression said. He, Duke di Volo and the king's Prime Minister, was one of the closest to the king's place during the attack. "I will immediately send people to seek any more possible attackers."

The king huffed. "You better do! Treachery spreads over minds like mold. If my father was there, he'd say the same!"
