Bab 154: The Commotion at Healer Keep

Sir Kaelen slapped Lavatri repeatedly, then dragged her by her hair, and beat her in front of many people on the street.

The other healer girls tried to intervene, but Sir Kaelen and his men were too strong. He didn't stop until Lavatri was badly bruised and stripped of all her dignity.

Lavatri sat on her knees in the public street. People gathered around.

Sir Kaelen yanked Lavatri's hair upwards to expose her beautiful but bloodied and bruised face to the onlookers.

"This healer girl dares to give herself to a Gamaaloth! Despite my claim on her since she was seven years old!"

The crowd erupted in mixed reactions. Some voices cheered in support of Sir Kaelen's actions, expressing their deep-rooted resentment towards the Gamaaloth men who they perceived as competitors.
