Shen Shichu had an entitled tone in his voice, as if he believed those born into a good life need not strive, only enjoy their privileges.

Nan Jiaojiao turned her head away, her brows furrowed in distaste.

"Right, I've never taken you to see that plot of land in the north of the city. Since we're already out, why don't we swing by and have a look?" he tentatively asked.

Nan Jiaojiao glanced at the pile of shopping bags in the back seat.

Shen Shichu, usually preoccupied with his career, had willingly spent half a day shopping with her and bought so many things to please her—all for this moment.

Feigning ignorance, Nan Jiaojiao replied, "Sure, I've sketched some preliminary designs for the buildings. It might be good to see the site and then refine them."

A look of pleasure crossed Shen Shichu's face. "You've already started designing?"

"Mhm, just some doodles when I was bored—not really the final draft."

"I've always had confidence in your designs. Show me."
