Bab 71: 1.71 Indelible mark

Luke stepped out of the car. As he opened Persie's door, he couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for the person standing before him.

Persie gracefully exited the car, and Luke walked him to the front door, their steps in sync as they moved closer together.

Their eyes locked, and Luke said, "Sorry, it's so late." The words carried a hint of remorse, as he acknowledged the lateness of the hour.

Persie's warm smile instantly reassured Luke, putting his worries to rest. "It's alright. I'm going to work later tomorrow," Persie replied, his voice holding a sense of understanding and consideration.

Feeling a surge of relief, Luke's own smile broke across his face. "I had a good night," he confessed, his words laced with a hint of happiness and contentment.

Persie's response filled Luke with a mixture of joy and tenderness. "I did too. This was my first date."
