Bab 45: 1.45 Letting go

Persie called, "Cole?"

Cole opened his eyes and stopped floating. He pulled Persie into his arms and asked, "What is it?"

Persie asked, "Do you remember our talk in the stables?"

Cole nodded. Persie admitted with flushed cheeks, "I think maybe I was a bit wrong."

Cole's heartbeat quickened, and he asked, "What do you mean?"

Persie felt him tighten his hold and said, "Sometimes feelings come with time."

Cole swallowed and immediately said, "They do."

He couldn't believe Persie had changed his mind; he was over the moon. Persie could see the hope in Cole's eyes.

Persie said, "But there's one thing I didn't mention. I need my partner to be transparent and honest."

Cole said, "Of course, everyone wants that."

Cole noticed that Persie seemed relieved at that answer. Persie asked, "I want to ask you something."

Cole immediately said, "What do you want to know? Whatever it is, I'll tell you, I promise."
