Bab 58: Insecurities

"Well, it looks like you all had a good chat," Kieran remarked as soon as he heard the footsteps behind him. He was facing the throne with his hands behind him as he stood on the steps.

"Greetings, Your Majesty." Seymour bowed and the youth behind him kneeled on one knee as they greeted him.

"Rise," Kieran ordered but did not turn around to face them. He had heard all that they had spoken and all that they had not spoken too and he smiled helplessly.

"Who became your target of mischief, Nikotar?" Although he already knew who it was, he still raised the question to curb the old Duke's curiosity. As Felix stated, his thoughts were loud and amusing, but the group of lads were no less. Their thoughts were jocular and worthy of listening.

"Your Majesty, it was one of the guards. He insulted Egan." Nikotar did not hide the truth and revealed all that had happened. "Please punish us for our impudence, Your Majesty."
