Alfgeir joined his hands together, weaving his fingers into an inverted, tusk-like sign.

"The fact that you're still standing proves that the issue comes from your sister, not the marks, right? Nevertheless, I can't stress enough how foolish your decision was. If we are to be comrades in the future, I'll expect far better judgment."

Vivi's irritation blew into an explosive rage, engulfing everything before her into a sea of bluish flames and incinerating anyone unlucky enough to be in the vicinity.

Or at least, that was her intent.

"Rovrune," Alfgeir calmly incanted.

The eye marks morphed into fang-shaped sigils, placing an ethereal leash on Vivi's expanding Mana. The infernal tide she had summoned was reduced to feeble specks of light, and a great, numbing pressure overpowered her enhancing spells and weakened her physical aptitudes.
