Damon's laughter echoed through the room.

"You seriously want to sleep with the Minister?" he said between fits of chuckles.

"Yes," Renella insisted firmly. "What's done is done. It doesn't matter if he doesn't like me. He has to take responsibility for me."

Damon gave Renella an amused thumbs up.

"You're truly incredible," he remarked.

"You doubt me?" Renella's tone carried a hint of challenge.

"It's not that I doubt you," Damon chuckled, shaking his head. "I just think you're absolutely amazing. You don't even fear death."

Renilla's expression soured slightly.

"I've been with Brother Sicheng; he won't harm me," she retorted.

"Your Brother Sicheng is a germaphobe and avoids contact with women," Damon reminded her. "You've known Sicheng for so many years. Have you ever seen him with a woman? When has any woman touched him?"
