Bab 100: Honey, Calm Down

Huo Sicheng gazed deeply at Gu Qingcheng.

"You want it," he said.

Gu Qingcheng frowned, staring at the document in front of her. Her hands were clenched so tightly that her knuckles had turned white.

"Sometimes, when I'm lost in my thoughts, I wonder if I'm crazy, or if you're crazy?

"Or perhaps I was bewitched by you and gave you the chance to hurt me again and again.

"I even think that it was a mistake for us to sign a one-year contract."

Huo Sicheng walked up to Gu Qingcheng and held her hand. Seeing that she was struggling to break free, he held her hand even tighter.

"A one-year contract is not a mistake," he said, looking at her with aching eyes. "Everything comes down to our distrust."

Gu Qingcheng froze.

"You know it in your heart," Huo Sicheng continued, staring into her eyes. "This shackle was never on me but on you."

He gently kissed her small hand by his lips, causing her to tremble.
