" Hahaha...little god, you've become so scheming, you scared the hell out of him. " Nate said while laughing. He loved how Roland looked like he was about to piss on himself.
"Well...they call me the devil every day, I wouldn't match my reputation if I can't even scare them," Lucian said with a smirk.
"Right..right, aah...looks like this devil title of yours is not that bad. But..little god, you truly looked like the devil back there. So charming but scary...." Nate said, looking at Lucian with worship.
"....." Lucian shivered, he didn't know why. Though..he could not see Nate's face, he felt he was suddenly getting goosebumps. Somehow he was glad he couldn't see his face.
"Get lost"
"hahaha..." Nate couldn't hold back his laughter. He felt he could just fulfill his day just by teasing him.
In the woods, Roland was about to pass out from anger. He had been so scared a few minutes ago, and this had caused him to feel embarrassed. He had intended to look impressive before Rosaline, but that went down the drain.
Seeing how Roland was pissed, Rosaline went up to coax him. After all, he was the mayor's son, It would be best to suck up to him and gain some favor. " Roland it's fine, don't compare yourself to those rats. You're going to be accepted into the royal scars academy soon, while that freak has not even got a teacher. He can't compare to you."
Hearing Rosaline say that he was going to be accepted into the Academy, lifted his mood.
"That's right I won't compare myself to those freaks hmph.." he finally felt good.
In the far land of the kingdom of Nirvana, right in the palace, a man in his fifties sat on his throne. His outfit and crown made him look glamorous, but frustration was drawn all over his neat-looking face. His wrinkles have gotten a lot deeper. In front of him was a man clad in a black robe, with a black hood that covered the majority of his face, leaving his lips as he spoke. Whether he was young or old, no one could tell.
" Lucas! Have you still not found her?? My patience is running out. I need my pure blood or I will turn your kingdom upside down!!" He said with impatient written clearly in his voice.
"Nathan, you know I am still searching for her. I have already dispatched my guards, and there's still no news of her...I have five other daughters, can you not use anyone of them??"
Lucas asked in fear of the man before him.
"No! She is the only pure-blooded one, only her blood was able to resonate and light the red stone. How can I accept another?? We made a deal and you must fulfill your part." Nathan said exuding a murderous aura.
" I did fulfill my part, who would have thought that she would find out the secret and escape? That night, I arranged everything for her to be sent to you. I don't know how she managed to slip through our hands. I swear I did not play a hand in this. Though she is my daughter, I would never let anything stand as a hindrance in my way of ruling this kingdom. Since we can't find her, could it be that she's already dead??" he asked, clearly more desperate than the man before him.
" Well, I don't care how she escaped. The red stone is still resonating, it means she is still alive. I don't care how you find her, I want my pure-blooded, or you lose your throne and your kingdom" Nathan spoke and disappeared leaving no room for argument.
Lucas paled, there was no doubt, Nathan meant what he said. It has been ten years...ten years, and there's still no news of the whereabouts of that daughter of his. He had to find her, he would rather sacrifice each one of his daughters than lose his kingdom.
"Maurice??" he called
A man in a knight's uniform came kneeling on one knee before him.
"Your Highness!"
"Summon the first prince before me now" Lucas ordered
"At once, your highness," He said and left immediately.
A few minutes later, a young handsome-looking man walked into the palace. He looked dignified and neat, but there were traces of fatigue in his eyes.
" Father, you sent for me..." he said as he stood before Lucas.
" Have you heard from your sister?? " Lucas asked, his previously desperate look had been diverted to an indifferent one.
At the mention of his sister, the young man's fatigue face paled.
"No.." he answered his voice sounding solemn
"She was so so close to you back then, how could you not have heard anything from her?" he asked, this time, the agitation could be seen on his face.
" Father...th..that day when my sister went missing, you said you were giving her off to marry, was that true?" this was the question that had been bugging him for a long time, but he feared to ask.
His father said his sister was being given off to marriage. It was to a man they had never seen before. On the day of the wedding, the man didn't even show up. On that evening, his father sent his sister off to the man not informing anyone including the bride where he was located. Then suddenly news came, that she had escaped. He never understood and didn't dare question the king. But his father had been looking desperate and disturbed since this issue happened. Somehow he felt there was an inner story.
"Andrew! Are you suspecting your father? Why would I bring harm to my daughter? Of course, she was being given off to marriage. The man is a dignified man, who doesn't wish to be seen. You dare to suspect your king, because of this??" Lucas asked with narrowed eyes.
"No Father, I was merely concerned..." he said and immediately knelt to his knees.
" If you're concerned, then dispatch more guards to find her!!" He commanded.
Andrew hesitated a little before he stood up and left. He had to be careful this time. Whether his sister was alive or not, he didn't know. But if she was alive, he felt it was best if she stayed wherever she was. It was probably safer than here.
When the prince left, Lucas sat and squinted his brows. Had his son found out something? It wouldn't be good for his image if he found out the truth.
"Maurice??" he called out again
"Your Highness.." The same man appeared
"Follow the first prince every movement and inform me of whatever he does and wherever he goes. Do it without him finding out"
" Yes, your Highness," he responded and left the palace.
