Bab 119: We're being watched

The man scoffed and replied, "Why would I tell you that? You're not even supposed to be in my presence. Now stop wasting my time and die already."

With that, the man lunged at them with his sword drawn.

Jessica leaped forward and swung her staff. Her attack hit the man square in the chest, knocking him back.

Tristan raised a brow at her, slightly intrigued at how well a healer could fight.

"Not bad."

"Thanks." She grinned.

Lily and Lyla shared a look, choosing to sit the fight out.

"He can take care of himself." Lily shrugged and turned her attention back to the task at hand.

The man got back to his feet and charged again.

Jessica blocked his next strike with her staff and then kicked him in the stomach. He grunted in pain and stumbled backward.

"How did you do that?!"

"It's nothing special. Just keep practicing."
