Bab 96: See the monster within

Avelina cringed at the mention of Mirabella, shaking her head in denial, "I didn't want to kill you, neither did Elysia."

"Ha!" Evelyn exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger at Avelina before them. "I was right about her!" she shouted. "You're both in cahoots with Mirabella! And now that you failed to kill me, you decided to side with our Master, huh?!"

Althaea's ethereal voice cut through Evelyn's angry outburst like a knife. "Evelyn... please calm yourself," she warned gently, her gaze softening with sympathy. "There is much more to the story than what you think," she said gently. "I assure you both that you're safe here, as long as you're on our side." 

Avelina paled, her shock evident. "But how do you-"
