Two hundred and fifteen hours, twenty minutes, and seven seconds, the digital timer suspended in the air ticked away ominously. The room was bathed in the soft glow of the numbers, the pulsating digits providing the only source of light. The serenity of the scene was in stark contrast with the tense atmosphere that hung heavy in the room.

Tristan, standing with his back against the cold wall, studied the timer in silence. He glanced from the timer to the two unconscious figures lying on the beds, then back again, the gears in his mind working overtime.

Something about Evelyn intrigued him-her resolve, her courage, and more importantly, her hidden Esper abilities. It was a mystery how she had managed to keep her status hidden from everyone. Only his keen observation had led him to unravel her secret, and he was yet to comprehend its full extent.
