Bab 308: Chapter 308: Saving Sarah

Retracting my lips from Sarah's mouth, I gently slapped her hands away, which were currently in my clothes and fondling my crotch, and while it felt good, now wasn't the time for that.

"Now, be a good Concubine and wait for your Prince, Illumia. I promise it won't take long." Stated Elif with a faint smirk as he winked at Illumia, who was still surprised at his and Sarah's relationship, before exiting the carriage, leaving her all alone.

Stepping out of the carriage with Sarah following immediately after, I glanced over toward my colleagues, though they were already approaching the dimensional rift in the distance, causing me to do the same as I slapped Mandy's butt once more.

"You're Highness, can I-" Asked Marley softly with a faint smile as she glanced at Mandy before looking at Elif, who promptly shut her down.

"No." Replied Elif blandly as he dismissively waved his hand at Marley, causing her to huff in annoyance as she folded her arms and pouted.

Once we neared the portal, Eyvor, Goliath, Birger, Echo, and Shelia had just finished entering along with a few of their followers, which caused me to do the same as I floated into the dimensional rift, only to appear within an icy tundra in the middle of the powerful blizzard which greatly limited our visibility. However, I wasn't able to question why my divine sense wasn't working, as all of a sudden, I was free-falling through the sky, having lost the ability to fly.

Gracefully landing on the ground, which was covered in a layer of thick and fluffy snow reaching all the way to my thighs, I furrowed my brows while attempting to fly, yet every time I did, the ground would absorb my Qi, causing me to click my tongue in annoyance.

"Well, unfortunate, but I'm not too surprised; there was no way the elimination round would be so easy; being unable to fly will prevent cultivators from fleeing battles they can't win. Though taking our divine sense on top of that? This will cause a lot of people to die." Said Elif lightly as he waved his hand, using his Qi to create a path through the thick snowy ground, though thanks to the powerful blizzard, the snow began to rapidly fill back up.

'Hmm, it seems the dimensional rift also separated our group, probably teleported us to random parts of the dimension; well, that- that isn't good, actually.' Mused Elif lightly with a raised eyebrow as he scanned his surroundings, searching for his servants, only to frown deeply afterward.

I was unconcerned about Marley and Idonea after having spent nearly three months within the sacred grounds along with learning a new cultivation manual; they were stronger than before, and if anything happened to them, it would be because of another cultivator, not the beasts that reside within this dimension. However, Sarah and Ember, on the other hand?

"The weakest beast is probably a Divine, something neither Sarah nor Ember can hope to compete against." Muttered Elif with a deep frown as he narrowed his eyes, seemingly trying to look beyond the mighty blizzard he was in.

Now that I knew I was in a hurry, I stopped wasting time and summoned Hokori as I infused it with Qi, coating it in a faint purplish aura before slashing it down towards the blizzard, causing an incredibly long sword arc to be launched from my scabbard as it speedily flew through the sky while still gaining size before suddenly slicing the blizzard, creating a gap that allowed sunlight to gleam through. With the blizzard now cut, it began to disperse quickly, allowing me to see numerous beasts in the distance, but I paid them no heed and focused intently as I observed my vicinity now that I could see.

With my vision no longer obstructed, I could spot a forest far to my right, an extensive mountain range to my left, and far in the north, I saw what seemed to be a desert; however, it still didn't help me in locating either Sarah or Ember, since without my divine sense, I was quite oblivious to everything happening around me.

"If this doesn't work, I'll truly be guessing at this point." Muttered Elif with a deep frown as he summoned a crystal ball from his dimension ring and infused it with his Qi, causing Marley's figure to suddenly be projected into the air.

"Your Highness, Sar-" Said Marley in concern with her spear in hand while her figure erratically moved about, seemingly in the middle of a battle.

"I'll find Sarah; you and Idonea will locate Ember." Ordered Elif sternly as he eyed Marley while blood suddenly splattered on her face as she stopped moving, causing her to sigh in relief.

"I understand, your Highness." Said Marley with a nod as she gave Elif a slight bow before her figure suddenly vanished.

With those two servants of mine searching after Ember, I called Sarah, and thankfully, she answered right away; otherwise, it could've only meant one thing.

"Haa, Your Hi- Elif, I-I know this is a little shameful to ask, but, c-could you come help me? I-I'm in a little predicament." Asked Sarah lightly with a sigh of relief, only for her expression to turn grim while fear began to fill her eyes.

"Where are you?" Asked Elif solemnly with a nod, causing Sarah to look briefly at her surroundings.

"Um, well, I-I'm currently in a forest sitting on a tree, and I also seem to be in a beast's territory since it's looking right at me; I'm a little afraid to move, lest I garner its ire." Replied Sarah softly as she explained to Elif everything she could see, causing him to nod.

I hadn't even waited for Sarah to finish speaking since the instant I heard forest as I was already dashing through the snow-covered ground, heading right for the forest in the far distance; however, I couldn't help but inwardly grumble at how slow I was moving.

'Preventing us from flying is turning out to be more problematic than I initially thought.' Mused Elif with an annoyed expression as he waved his hand, creating a large purple palm that pushed a large beast out of his way.

"Try not to move if you can; I'll be there quickly. I'll call you again when I arrive in the forest biome." Ordered Elif as he glanced at Sarah while dashing through the snowy tundra, leaving imprints on his feet with every step.

"O-Okay, j-just try to be quick please, t-the beast has started to growl." Replied Sara softly with a nod as she glanced at Elif before nervously gulping.

Giving Sarah a nod, I turned off my crystal ball and stored it in my dimension ring as I continued dashing through the snowy ground while ignoring any beasts that were either in my way or were chasing after me; none of the beasts were quick enough to keep up with me, and even if they somehow managed to, they're too weak to be of any threat, merely an inconvenience.

The forest was further away than I initially thought since even after sprinting at full speed for roughly ten or so minutes, I still hadn't arrived, and I probably wouldn't for at least another ten or so. A lot of things could happen in ten minutes.

'I'm thankful these are normal beasts and not monsters from the Nether realm. That would've been terrible.' Thought Elif as he inwardly sighed in relief while thinking back to the opening of the Treasure realm incident, causing him to frown deeply.

Hopefully, Ember was close to either Marley or Sarah; otherwise, I'm not confident about her chances of surviving if it's taking me this long just to travel between two different biomes.

Eventually, though, after roughly ten or so more minutes, I finally left the freezing tundra and entered the forest, bypassing several beasts feeding on leaves and berries while continuing deeper into the forest.

"Sarah, attack the sky." Ordered Elif as he spoke to Sarah through his crystal ball, causing her to nod with hesitation as she promptly looked toward the sky.

Stepping onto the back of a black wolf, I leaped off her body and landed atop a branch as I dashed between trees while heading higher and higher until I reached the canopy, prompting me to leap straight up into the air. Soaring high above the thick canopy of trees and into the air, I continued to gain altitude while looking in the distance for Sarah, and while I noticed several other cultivators fighting, they were of no concern to me.

Once I reached the peak of my jump, allowing me to see the entirety of the forest, I began falling back down, yet while doing so, I finally spotted small sword arcs flying aimlessly into the sky, prompting me to summon Hokori as I slashed downwards, creating a large gash in the forest leading towards where Sarah was so I wouldn't get lost, though I highly doubted that would've happened.

When I landed back on the ground, I again began dashing through the gash I had created and headed straight for Sarah in the distance, ignoring any cultivator or beast I encountered.

"I found you, Sarah; I shall arrive within a few minutes." Stated Elif lightly as he glanced at Sarah, who forcefully smiled.

"T-That's good because the beast didn't like me attacking the sky, and now he's attacking the tree I'm on; please hurry, Elif." Said Sarah fearfully while her body repeatedly shook from the beast ramming the base of the tree.
