Today marked the final day of my stay in Rome. I stirred awake, rubbing the remnants of sleep from my eyes, only to be greeted by the unwelcome glare of the alarm clock reading 9:30. Groaning at the late start, I dragged myself out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom.

Surveying my reflection in the mirror, I couldn't help but notice the disarray of my appearance. My hair was a tangled mess, dark circles adorned my eyes like unwanted accessories, and the telltale mark of Carlos's affection still lingered on my skin.
