Bab 307: Chapter 307: Mjolnir
Jane Foster, a top astrophysicist and intelligent person in modern society, would never come here if she had a choice.
But she didn't have a choice.
She had cancer, which was a very bad thing.
The science she believed in couldn't save her, so she thought of coming here to try her luck.
This was probably her only chance.
Looking at the shattered Mjolnir inside the glass case, a hint of sadness flashed across Jane's face.

Wanda looked curious at first, then looked again and nodded when she realized,
"So it's the hammer."
At that moment, a huge lightning bolt with a width of two meters came crashing out of the clouds and hit the ground immediately, surrounding Jane and Mjolnir.
The lightning flashed quickly and only lasted a few seconds. The lightning disappeared, and the dark clouds in the sky slowly disappeared as if nothing had happened.
The only difference was that Jane Foster was now dressed as Thor and holding the whole Mjolnir.
"This isn't right. Something's wrong!"
With just a glance, Jack saw the problem and couldn't help but frown.
"What's wrong?"
Wanda couldn't help but ask.
"She had cancer!"
Even without his X-ray vision, Jack could sense the strong aura of death surrounding Jane. He estimated that she had only a few months left.
According to logic, Jane should have been able to overcome her cancer after getting the power of Thor. But the reality was the opposite.
The power of Thor didn't kill the cancer cells in her body; instead, it made them worse a little bit faster.
Since Jane was not an Asgardian but an ordinary Earthling, she couldn't withstand a divine artifact like Mjolnir.
The more she used Mjolnir, the more her body got weaker and the cancer cells got more active.
As a result, Mjolnir gave Jane more energy, but it also made her die faster.
Jack could feel the sped-up drain of life force when she held Mjolnir. That was the price.
The abnormality here couldn't escape the notice of the Asgardians.
In fact, the guards in the area knew about the situation in the first place. At this moment, a group of Asgardians, led by Valkyrie had arrived.
"Oh my god!"
Seeing the transformed Jane and the Mjolnir she held, Valkyrie's face changed, and it looked like she couldn't believe it.
She knew Jane, and that's why she found it hard to believe.

"Cut her some slack. It used to belong to the person before her."
"Who was before her?"
"Yes, Hela, the Goddess of Death, also known as..."
Jack pointed at a rainbow meteor suddenly appearing in the sky and said, "Her sister."
Following his voice, Wanda looked over and saw a rainbow-formed meteor approaching them. In an instant, it landed on the ground, less than ten meters away from them.
"It's fast!"
Jack brushed off the dust on his hand and muttered.
As the rainbow vanished, Thor and Korg appeared where the rainbow had landed.
"Thor, is this Asgard?"
Korg looked around in amazement and said, "Oh my God, last time I came here, there weren't this many buildings. Look, look, there are so many ships on the sea now."
He pointed excitedly at the sight of several cruise ships on the nearby sea and sighed.
"I want to go up and take a look. I just don't know if they'll let me."
"That's not a problem."
Thor replied casually while taking a deep breath and looking at how much better New Asgard was than when he left.
"It feels good to be home."
At that moment, Korg noticed Mjolnir and quickly patted Thor's shoulder.
"Hey Thor, is that your hammer? Or is it some kind of souvenir?"
Thor turned around and immediately saw the mighty Mjolnir on the ground. He was instantly filled with excitement.
"Mjolnir?! Haha, you're still alive."
Thor even forgot about the Stormbreaker in his hand and jumped towards the hammer.
Mjolnir, however, appeared to be under the influence of something just as he was about to grab the handle. It flew up out of the ground and flew around Thor in a circle before flying away into the distance.
"Mjolnir!"
Seeing his Mjolnir fly away, Thor's expression changed.
He couldn't afford to be happy, so he ran after it quickly, but not before picking up his Stormbreaker from the ground.
"Stormbreaker! Go chase down Mjolnir!"
Thor swung his axe around, hoping it would lift him up, but nothing happened.
"Stormbreaker, what's wrong with you?"
Thor tapped the axe, which made him even more confused. The stormbreaker then turned around on its own. Thor's head was right in front of the straight, shiny axe.
"..."
"Hehe!"
Seeing this scene, Wanda couldn't help but laugh.
"Why does it feel like this axe is jealous? Like... a lady."
"Pretty much. Artifacts of this class generally have some level of consciousness."
Jack nodded, not surprised at all.
While Thor was trying to calm the jealous Stormbreaker, he failed to notice the couple watching the mess from the sidelines.
"Where should we go next?"
"Let's follow him."
Jack gestured towards Thor.
"I need to borrow his axe for a bit."
