Bab 28: Chapter 28

Noah was leisurely walking toward the presidential suite. Yesterday, he put a lot of thought into his feelings towards Edwin and concluded that it should be friendship. It was the first time that someone had piqued his interest like this. Only to him did he make an effort to know him or take care of him. He was not familiar with this feeling but did not hate it.

With Edwin being Radin's mate, it would be better to talk to his brother and clear up the misunderstanding as soon as possible. His hand went up to knock when his telephone rang.

It was an unknown number. Noah answered on a whim to delay that awkward meeting with his brother.

" Hello, This is Shyro Ermank. We talked once before. I was the one who sent you the picture."

Noah raised his eyebrow in suspicion and said.

"Well, how can I help you?"

" Is it summer break, Right? Why don't you come to the capital? We have a special event to host online gamings like Esport. I think your friend needs a change of scenery. I heard he likes gaming and computers. Why not give it a try?"

Noah wanted to turn it down immediately but remembered the video on Edwin's computer. 'That may have been his passion.'

"Okay, I'll check with him. I will let you know if we are in."

Noah ended the call. He was eager to try everything that friends do with Edwin.

He should pursue him going. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. " Come in"

He entered the luxurious room to find Radin seated while reading a book. Behind him lay the beautiful view of the town.

He didn't have any masks on. His likeness to him made Noah uneasy. He braced himself and asked the question he feared the most.

"We had different mothers, didn't we? Then why do we resemble one another?"

Radin didn't even raise his head while explaining it to him.

" Yes, but they were from the same tribe. My mother lost her life because she was a werewolf. The Gashtasb family was a part of the huntsman clan, and the elders were extremely traditional 25 years ago. Their century of hatred toward werewolves blinded them to kill my mother. Yet your mother died in childbirth."

"so you're saying I can become a wolf, too?"

Noah asked, surprised.

" No, you only have the blood of a werewolf. If you had been able, the elders would have eliminated you so far."

"Oh, but you are well and kicking?"

" In their eyes, I am a valuable person, so it made them put their hostility towards werewolves to rest."

Noah got confused by this new information.

"Okay. Do you think the reason I want to be around Edwin is related to my blood?"

"Yes, If we classified wolves, you'd be a Beta. You had chosen him as your Alpha and yearned to assist him."

" What about you?"

" I am an Alpha. My mother was a powerful seer wolf. She could recognise werewolf blood in others and saw the future. I inherited some portion of her power. I can also see other people's true selves."

" No one had taught me about this before. What is the difference between these categories?" Radin took a sip of his tea and continued.

"Wolf packs are structurally complex. Generally, there are alphas, Betas and Gammas in a pack. Alphas are leaders. Betas are the most trusted and loyal ones next to alphas. Gammas consider as best fighters. There is no distinction between men and women. The scarce are Seer and Omegas. The pack gave more significance to the seers. With their assistance, they were able to distinguish between friends and enemies. Their survival would increase. But omegas come in two classes. Submissives are weak and unable to carry children. Wolf packs regarded them as useless. The Dominant ones are the opposite, a treasure. Their chance of giving birth to a powerful alpha pup is extremely high. Even there are rumours that they could bear other races' children. If two male alphas, betas or gammas, were married, they would have no children. The only difference is male Omegas. I think I've covered it quite a bit."

"Yes, I appreciate that."

Noah fidgets with his fingers.

" Can I ask you something? Do you remember a boy named Jake? You told everyone he was a traitor, and my bodyguard killed him. Do you know of that?"

" Oh, the elders sent that spy to keep track of you. But he sold the intel to our enemies. I never intended for him to die. That girl killed him to protect the elders. Those shrewd had sponsored her to enter our family and keep an eye on me. As a result, I turned her down. Then she approached you. I had no idea she was with you because I was so far out of the territory. Hence, When I saw her, I removed her from your residence. Don't worry. My group misinformed her about anything."

Noah saw his older brother in a new light. ' So deep down, he is a kind man. It's just that he didn't want anyone to find out that he had my back.'

" Umm, how is Edwin?" Noah asked stiffly.

" He's not conscious yet. He is battling his wolf. When the winner is determined, he awakens."

" Are you sure? Is not because of you, Right? "

Radin slammed off the book and looked up.

"I went through it myself."

" I am not accusing you. But your aura that day was so terrifying. I was genuinely concerned for Edwin."

" what? You still want to be his boyfriend?" Radin rose in anger.

"No, he was the one who said it to his family. I just played along. I believed he considered me some repentant who would prevent his sister from harming him. Also, I see Edwin as my friend."

"Anyway, Will you let me see Edwin?"

Radin crossed the room and took him to the inside suite. On the bed, Edwin looked pale with bandages on his shoulder. Noah sat on a chair next to the bedside.

" When he wakes up, I want to take him to the capital. I have no faith in his family, especially his sister."

"OK, that day, I lost my composure. I am sorry. With you with him, I can be more at ease. And that doesn't alarm the elders much. Until now, they were all under the impression that we competed. The only downside is that I'm not positioned to mark him until he accepts his wolf on the inside."

" How many people know he is your mate?"
