Bab 147: The downfall

"My lord, why were you delayed?"

The disappointed tone echoes as I approach the table where the magus V sits. "Some matters occurred. Plan has changed" I disclose. Settling down beneath a tight scowl. "Pardon? Are we retreating perhaps?" V sounds furious, as if he wishes to continue the plot.

"No, we are not. Verena has ordered Ken to wait in the forest outside the Kingdom because Kyros Verde has to be seized immediately. Everyone is under his control. I have no clue what exactly my lady is considering but we have to trust in her for now" I let out a sigh helplessly.

For a moment, V falls into silence. His eyes are fixed on me although I cannot see his face. I can feel how his facial expressions may be depending on the voice. "What about me? Didn't Her Majesty leave a duty for me to accomplish?" Unexpected question.
