Gentle voice echoes in the room. I sit on the lounge as Verena settles beside me. Her eyes focus on my arm, the injury. She is treating my wound without any complaint. Not even an ounce of revolt can be seen. She neither gets scared nor shocked over the unusual blood color.

Now that I can observe her closely, she really is breathtakingly beautiful. The determined gaze she has on makes me feel full of myself because it seems like I am her priority. It's worth it. I am glad I stopped the healing process. "Do as you please. I will never complain to you"

Beneath a beam, I reply. Who cares about this mere injury when she is sitting in front of me? For a moment, Verena eyes up into my gaze. Somehow, she seems stunned? Huh? Is she shocked? Why? "Do you go around telling people that always?" Her right brow raises. "No"
