The two started a new round of bickering for a few more minutes, and in the end, Daniel conceded to Christopher's shamelessness. He could only say that he would consider it before Christopher finally shut up about it.

He then quickly called Maria to escort the group to the accommodations the company had prepared for them.

In the tranquility of his study, Daniel began to map out a plan for his new organization. He didn't want it to become another Hightower, where most mages viewed normal humans as mere resources.

He knew that magical ingredients and materials, such as magical plants and creatures, were in high demand, while their populations were not sustainable enough to keep up with mage consumption.

As long as he couldn't solve this problem, Daniel couldn't outright ban human experimentation or the use of ordinary people as resources.
