Back then, she believed Daniel was dead, so she returned every year to visit the shrine where his body should have rested. However, during her last visit, she stumbled upon Daniel unconscious in an alley not far from the shrine.

"Yeah, I remember," Greed chimed in. "At that time, Koyuki told me that she found Danny unconscious and naked in the alley. I don't know what happened, but I think he might have been hiding in some kind of secret realm, or perhaps he was experimenting with one of his artifacts, like the teleportation gate, and had some kind of accident." Greed added, attempting to provide a plausible explanation.
