Bab 18: Becoming His Student {1}
Elvenia came afterward and we did the same routine, but I seemed more lost in my head than usual because I was still recovering from the fact that I woke up in Wiliams bedroom this morning, I was unable to shrug the feeling off and how well I slept, I have never had that tranquil sleep before, all through the night felt like paradise, even back at my own room when I slept peacefully on the floor or so I thought it wasn't even compared to that at all, was it because I slept on a bed?
Maybe… because it has to be, what other reason could it be? I craved that peace so I told myself when night comes I will sleep on my bed this time and not the floor, anything to have that peaceful sleep that seemed to be like a rare gem, I can't wait to experience it again.
I looked to my mirror and paused finally taking notice of what I wore, it wasn't the usual white plain gown, this, if I remember correctly, was a corset gown, the kind I saw on ladies I admired from the windows back at the orphanage, it was beautiful and I was surprised it actually fit me well, I must have put on some weight I guess, I was still thin but this was definitely better than how I was when I came here a week ago for I looked like a skeleton.
The corset gown was a peach color, well the skirt was... And the corset was a creamier color with a rose embodied on it like it was sewed into it, and the rope straps were visible all the way to my slightly pushed-out chest, it was odd looking at it because I never knew my chest was plump, all my life I thought I would be forever flat and I guessed wrong, adding little weight must have helped the little things pop out more.
The sleeve of my dress was a white cover and baggy at my wrist level because that was where it stopped, but it was still a perfect fit to my body, my brown hair was let down, and with the help of Elenvia, it was trimmed so it now fell over my shoulders but she helped me braid it that allowed some of the wavy length to fall at the front of my face. I noticed the color was coming out more and how bright my brown hair was becoming and how wavy it looked, it seemed to be getting fuller and thick too.
I felt like I was staring at a complete stranger for never in my life would I think I would look like this. My eyes were wide like saucers. I slowly reached for my full cheek and felt it, a chill ran through me for I knew whenever I felt them I touched bone instead but now it was nothing but round flesh and I couldn't believe, the rest of my body had flesh too! Could this be a dream, could I be really dead like I thought before?
I scoffed at the comment in my head and I couldn't help a ghost smile that found my lips, it seemed weird for me now.. smiling … The mere action got me both stunned and thrilled to the point my cheeks hurt.
I quickly wiped the small tears that came from my eyes and sniffed.
"You're smiling and crying," Elvenia said behind me and I looked over at her through the mirror in front of me, her intense stare caused me to wipe my tears quickly and compose myself. I noticed she was about to open her mouth to say something but a knock came on the door and she quickly closed her mouth.
She said nothing and walked to the door and it spread open revealing Severus, he placed his right palm on his left chest and bowed slightly at me.
"I'm here for the young miss"
"She is ready," Elevnia said only as she parted for me, a sign that I should go with him. I was nervous now but either way, I walked to Severus as he led me through the maze of a lobby.
I haven't seen Severus for a week and yet it didn't seem like it. Seems like he has other duties he had to take care of, were they the only ones here? I have only seen three of them, were they the only ones taking care of this big place?
"Today you shall start your studies"
Out of exploring with my eyes and thinking with my head, I let my orbs drift back to him.
Studies?
"I would have been given the privilege to tutor you myself and not worry Master for he has many duties to oversee but he said he wants to tutor you personally"
William wants to tutor me?
I really wish I could ask questions but I remember why I should not. We both came to a stop in front of a giant door, I have never seen a door my size in this place at all, nothing but giants! And once again it spread open by an unseen force, just what exactly opens these doors?
That was the least of my thoughts when I set my eyes on what the door unfolded, a whole new world that took my breath away...
