"If it's about the hidden family asset, all I can say is that I don't know anything about it," Rong Tianshi said.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Mrs. Rong Sr. questioned.

Rong Tianshi opened his eyes, his gaze tinged with a wistful longing. He explained, "Let me be clear, the Rong family has no secret assets. If we did, why wouldn't I have used it when the company was struggling? Why would I hoard it?"

"It can't be! You gave me a key, look!" Mrs. Rong Sr. fumbled in her pocket, pulling out a piece of cloth. Unwrapping it, she held up a golden key. "What is this key for then? Tianshi, have you been listening to someone's lies? Don't believe them! I'm your mother. How could I ever be so cruel to you? I—"
