Without a doubt, Jasmine's eyes flew wide open while she stared at the stack of gold before her. She averted her gaze over to Gabriel's face, waiting for the moment he would blurt out 'It was all a joke' but it never came, instead, he simply lay there with his teeth in view. 

It was only a fool who wouldn't be able to tell that Jasmine had never set her eyes on something of great relevance.

"G…. gold?" She shuttered with shaking lips and teeth.

"Yes, my love. Take it as my means of apology. You don't have to tell your family that it came from me. Or you can simply dump it in your living room without–" 

She didn't give Gabriel the chance to complete his words, the next second, she quickly sat upright and snatched the bag away from him.

Indeed, the weight screams gold. Without further ado, the bag was made open, only for her already widened eyes to enlarge further. Yes, Gabriel's words were true.
