"What do you mean, he'll be released?" Al said-
Back home-
In his father's office.
Large room.
One table- some sofas and chairs but Al didn't sit down.
He just stared at the blue haired man on behind the chair- who happened to be staring back at him. Long blue hair, tidied behind his head, a red garb, and that solid stare-
The man, Al's father, let out a mild sigh. "He was from Xinsing. He only came here to judge your skills."
"And try to kill me at the same time?"
"Kill you? How would a mere attack on the head kill you?"
Al stared- contempt clear in his gaze- "Unfortunately, not everyone in the world is monstrous as you, father. A blow to the head would easily kill a human."
Lips curling. "But you're not human, are you?"
Teeth clenched- the boy glared. "I'M HUMAN!" Slightly out of breath. "Now, if you'll excuse me." Heading for the door.
"There's much for you to witness in this world. Rushing, wouldn't get you what you want-" The man said- "Why couldn't you be like your si-"
Al didn't look back, nor acknowledge anything, and just left.

"SHIT!" He slammed his fist on the wall- flaring-
"That's not like you-" Said, the blonde who happened to be waiting for him.
No one else around-
"Oh right, the cool guy disguise-" A faint smile and the boy calmed down, running his hand to through his hair once.
"How's that cool?" She chuckled.
"Nah, it's cool."
They went upstairs, to get some lunch.
***
In the evening- Al stared at the sky- as usual.
In his room on the fourth floor- by the window- just staring-
"What do you search for?" The blonde asked-
She was almost- always with the boy.
Part of it was her duty. Part of it her-
"Peace-" The boy said.
Orange sky, clouds, birds- free.
"Peace? But isn't the world at peace now? There's no war, no suffering and-"
"And? And nothing more, right? Right now, there's no suffering in this city, but what about the rest of the country, the rest of the continent, the rest of the world?"
"I'm sure you're not driven by people's suffering, so, what?"
"It's simple…" A faint grin. "What if there's no feelings?" He stared back, the sun behind him, painting him in an orange but brilliant light.
"No feelings?"
"No feelings, no suffering."
"That doesn't make sense. Love, hatred, sorrow- we need those."
"No- we don't. They hinder us." The boy tried to grab the sun- "And that's why- I strive to be… someone- who's not bound by such flimsiness…."
***
"Are you sure about that?" asked the man-
Flowing golden hair; a garb so dark, it'd put the blackest nights to shame, and that pair of bright red eyes…
"I'm sure…" Al's father stared down his window, at the city, at the people.
So much progress.
So much-
"But he would-"
"He wouldn't like it, I know. But it's for his best."
"Throwing your son off to the one place humans shouldn't go- is best for him huh?" He snorted. "Even so…" The man sighed once. "Slack-"
"Yes, Gaine?"
"As your friend, I must give you a fair warning. That boy- will either be the scourge of this world, or its savior; which- depends on you." A black gate opened, and the man headed inside.
"No-" A faint chuckle. "it's for him to decide. I'm merely an old man."
Wink.
