Bab 173: A lavender

The crack and sizzle of burnt wires and rusted circuits festered, smoke slithering and hissing; in destruction and in distortion.

"Yes, my time here is up." 'Eltic' whispered, cracking his neck left and right.

Around, laid writhing and broken—scarred, were men. They bled—and bled; and bled until blood wreathed the floors like a macabre art piece.

Their breath played hoarse, desperate. The chill was almost physical.

The creature possessing Eltic had torn them apart—to this thing less than human.

His gaze was void. . . but the smile betrayed. It was drawn to grin beastly and wild.

"Revenge." The neck bent and coiled—twisted to a crack, the smile was morbid. "Is the host's problem. I just crippled you for the ease."

"What really are you?" Yanza weakly asked, sloped over a wall, his breathing harsh and grating.
