Bab 100: Parenting so good it spreads

A massive building, made of metal and concrete, loomed in the distance, observed by countless eyes for its grandeur and dignity. Individuals who wished to work here, or even to construct such a structure, some deemed that stepping in there would be their lifetime achievement. Yet the reality was clear: they could not... and could never.

A man and child looked up--dazed. Then, the man pointed toward the edifice.

"See that? You should aim to work there. To work for the great 'Magical Arcana Co,'" said the middle-aged, white-haired father with a smile crossing his face. "The undisputed first private Aêther research organization in all of the Arelin Empire."

The father's arms raised to the air as if attempting to encapsulate the entire building. The son's eyes also glistened, a notion peaking in that gaze – the beginning of a sprouting ambition.
