All this happened when these fellows' bosses promised them protection, wealth, promotion, and respect from peers. Leaders, all-powerful and wise, convinced them to undergo this operation, not alone–but under the supervision of the highly proclaimed Yanza Kinara. 

After all, under the protection and surveillance of the Most Dangerous Individuals in the empire–what the hell could go wrong?
