When Ryan and Maki said goodbye, the girl had a fairly concrete idea of what she had to do to complete her tasks. Ryan gave the girl a list of tasks to complete and told her how to work with Olivia and Arthemis. 

After that, Ryan made the book Eliot had explained to him. Opening a small portal, he placed his cell phone on the other side of the rift, causing the messages explaining what was happening to be sent while he was still in Sunset Village. 

"I didn't think this would work so well," he thought, as he looked at his cell phone.
