Huh? "E-excuse me?"

"You're being pathetic, Master," Flare repeated with the same amount of emotion she previously used, much to my bruised ego. "Stop it."

"Pathetic? Pathetic?!"

I didn't have the right to get angry at her. I knew this simply because what she was saying was the truth. And yet the term irked me in ways that I never expected it to.

Why though? I was doing pretty well, right?

"Pride was always your sin, Master," Flare coldly stated. "You keep deluding yourself that sloth was your sin when in reality, you pride yourself on your mind and laziness. Of course, such a blow would irk you despite yourself."
