My thoughts were shaken back to reality as Anna looked at me with equal parts annoyance and fear. She knew more about this guy than what I picked up from their quaint little conversation. There was something here, but we had no time to linger on it as we were still on the battlefield... A battlefield that we had no chance of winning...

"Heh, so it would seem. I'll give you a ten-second headstart, Miss Anna," the burly man chuckled as he seemed to fiddle with the gauntlet in his left hand. "After which, I'll personally hunt you down along with the infamous Rouge."

Without any hesitation, I nodded to Anna before quickly making my way to Lise's downed form. My sister looked absolutely livid, but she relented eventually as I hoisted her onto my back. With only ten seconds to run, we had a lot of ground to cover before this Mr. Shakedown lookalike started his hunt.
