Liliana never expected the main drive behind Lucas' determination to return in summer was due to the promise. She had to retrace her memory before finally recalling the event.

Liliana remembered Lucas surprising her with sparklers during their picnic in the lake park in early autumn last year. They played by the lake before he brought up the idea of playing sparklers at the beach.

Then, Liliana stuck out her pinky like a young child. Lucas happily sealed the promise with her, pledging to bring her to the beach next summer.

"Honey... you really know how to make my heart flutter."

Unable to find better words, Liliana could only say that. Lucas' soft laughter resonated in the air before the echo traveled to her heart, enveloping it with its warmth.

"My return flight is next Monday. We can have a short trip to the beach. What do you think?"
