Liliana unconsciously shrieked Lucas' name when suddenly the phone call was cut off. Her shout echoed inside the quiet bedroom. In a panic, her mind replayed the alarming sound of his scream before the line abruptly ended.

What... what had just happened?

Didn't he say he was in his family home?

Why did it sound like he was attacked by someone?

"...it isn't true, right? He... won't be attacked, en?"

Liliana's widened eyes stared blankly at the phone screen, her eyelashes carried some tremors. The call log displayed Lucas' number and how many minutes they talked before the questionable thing occurred.

Pulling herself out of her daze, Liliana fumbled with the phone, anxiously trying to make a new call to Lucas' number. She had to make sure that nothing dangerous fell on him.
