"How pretty."

Curling up on a flower-shaped couch opposite the French doors, Liliana smilingly read new messages sent by Lucas. Her side bangs gracefully tilted along her head, the light in her eyes softened.

The clock would strike midnight soon. Liliana had already changed into her night dress. When she checked on Cassia earlier, she found that her mother was deep in her slumber.

Lanterns and the garden lampposts brightened the entire area of the mansion. The crisp cool breeze of autumn swirled in the air, gently passing by the lanterns and the leaves.

Liliana was certain that her granduncle and great-grandfather also had gone to sleep. As for Talia, she might still be up. 

On the screen, Lucas' messages were displayed clearly. Once again, Liliana read them.
