Bab 71: Night Hunt

"Thank you kindly for visiting, folks! Hope to see you again at our next auction!"

Theodore Varken excitedly waived away the attending members of the latest auction event.

Once most were gone, he quickly waddled back stage and marveled at today's earnings.

Waiting for him neatly piled atop a wooden table were several dozen pouches of coins; all of which had been earned within a few hours.

No matter how much money the auctioneer made; the sight of more of it never failed to make him as happy as a pig in shit.

He yelled at a few of the guards he had stationed nearby and had them take all of his acquired funds and load it into a carriage around back.

Once everything was packed away, he also pulled his bulbous body into the carriage and the coachman started on the journey towards his mansion on the northern side of town.

A short ride later, Theodore stepped down from the carriage and let out a relieved sigh.
