Bab 67: Lance

"How much longer!?" Jeff screamed in fear as a Lance approached him, summoning a sphere of ice before flinging it towards the man. Jeff evaded the projectile narrowly, resorting to conserving mana in order to contest with the mages at the rear.

The mages were tirelessly conjuring spells before shooting them at the three members of Ad Astra, providing no leeway or time to huddle up and discuss their strategy. They could only shout as they revealed most of their tactics to their foe, which countered instantly.

Their stamina had fallen tremendously, and the three were on the verge of collapse. Yet, their will to survive dominated other thoughts. There was no way of escape, and neither was there a chance of victory. All they could do was stall for time. Hopefully, their leader would come to rescue them.
