The office was very quiet, and Nian Yuyu immediately regretted asking her question; she felt as if she had overstepped her boundaries and blushed in silence.
Chu You, however, suddenly curved his lips upward and patted Nian Yuyu's head with a very good mood, "Not close."
He patiently explained, "She came to talk to me about work."
"Oh." Nian Yuyu felt like Chu You had seen through her little thoughts, and with a hint of embarrassment, she lowered her head but then suddenly got her appetite back and picked up her chopsticks again.
Chu You stopped talking as well, withdrew his hand, and sat back beside her, but the corners of his lips stayed slightly upturned the entire time.
After finishing lunch, there were only ten minutes left until two o'clock.
Nian Yuyu knew Chu You had a clinic in the afternoon and prepared to leave.
"You rest in my office first; I'll take you home in the evening," Chu You did not feel at ease letting Nian Yuyu leave on her own.
