Bab 24: Chapter 24: Needing Comfort from a Friend

Heather’s POV

Heather breaks down sobbing minutes after Casey slammed the door behind him. She doesn't know how long she is crying on the couch before Lucy comes home and finds her.

“Heather, what happened? Are you ok? Talk to me, sweetie…” Lucy is frantic with worry as she wraps her arms around Heather.

Heather turns to her best friend and falls into her arms. She allows herself to soak up the comfort Lucy is offering. Something she desperately needs.

“I told him everything and he hates me,” Heather says between sobs.

“Oh, sweetie. I’m sure that’s not true. It is a lot to process. If you talk to him in a couple of days I bet he will be more open to listening,” Lucy offers reassuringly.
