Bab 64: Chapter 64: Fiona Again
Simon and Paige made their way out of Tenor and Bralle after having a beautiful lunch. It was already evening by the they got out to the parking lot. On seeing them at the door of T&B, Bruce stepped out of the car awaiting them. The parking lot was still filled up with cars. Some car owners who couldn't find a place to park their cars were seen arguing with the security over parking space. "Is this place always filled like this?" Paige asked surprise
"Some days are worst than this." He replied.
"Does it mean that the occupants of this many cars are inside here." She pointed at the restaurant. It doesn't even look crowded inside."
"That is because the restaurant was built spacious and accommodating. Moreso, it's a storey building as well." He replied.
In a flash, Fiona walked up to them from the side with a false surprise face. "Oh! Mr. Kentley, what a coincidence. We seem to be running into each other a great deal these days and oh!" She turned to Paige. "Hi to you once again." She said with the sweetest smile.
"I wouldn't have agreed more." Simon replied with his hands placed on Paige's waist wanting Fiona to get the memo. Of course she did but like always sge pretended not to. "It's nice seeing you again Miss. Ruben." He referred to her formally as he left Paige's waist and held her by the hand leading her to their waiting car.
Fiona's fake smile was wiped away instantly when she heard Simon refer to her as Miss. Ruben. But she was quick to plant it right back. "What about my request the other day?" She said in a slightly raised voice as she followed them behind desperately seeking for his attention. "About paying a visit to the mansion." She asked.
"I already told you Fiona, kindly inform the person you'd love yo see. They will give you an official invite." He replied getting to the car door. He stepped aside for Paige to step in before entering himself. Once sitted, he looked towards the driver's seat. "Start the car Bruce." He instructed ignoring Fiona who stood beside the car with a fake grin.
Once their car was out of sight. Fiona dropped the fake smile and took her phone immediately. She dialled her mother's number. "Hello mum." She spoke into the phone almost breathless.
"Fiona baby, what's the problem? Calm down, you're gasping. Is everything alright?" Theresa asked her daughter.
"Mum, I saw them." Fiona finally said with a coherent voice. "Simon Kentley is still with her mother. The threat didn't work. I saw them together at T&B." She said in a teary voice.
"Calm down my love, it's okay. Come home. We'll figure something out." Theresa replied in a bid to calm the daughter down.
"What about the ex boyfriend mother. You told me he was going to distract her. He's not doing anything. She's here dressed like a princess with Kentley holding her waist and hands like his life depend on it!" She exclaimed angrily.
"Baby, please, calm down. Come home. Let's discuss this at home." Theresa said.
"Fine, I'll be home in a few." Fiona replied and hung up the phone. She was devastated and heart broken. She had thought that the next time she sees Simon, he'll be alone.
Back in the car, the duo were silent after the encounter with Fiona. When Paige could no longer take the silence. She spoke up with the first question that came to her head. "Who is she?"
"She use to be Anna's friend." Simon replied.
"What?" She doesn't look like Anna's type of friend." Paige told him. "She's too flashy and......."
"And crazy." Simon completed it.
"Kind of." Paige confirmed. "She like you, a think a lot." Paige told him.
"Oh! Really? I didn't notice." He replied.
"You do Simon. You're just pretending not to." They laughed together as they continued their journey to the Kentley's Mansion.
