Bab 145: Chapter 146 - Apology Not Accepted

 "Where do you think you're going?"

"To my room of course." Esme gave a nonchalant shrug as she walked away. 

"To your room?" 

"Yes." Esme didn't look back at all. She was walking there was no one talking to her. 

"When did you sleep apart from me?" 

"It started the day I applied as a maid at your house."

"You applied as a maid?" In my house? 

Reynard was stunned by what he just heard. How could Esme become a maid in the house that belongs to them both? After all, what is his, is hers too.

"Yeah." 

"Why?" And how did that happen?

"I'll tell you." Esme turned to him with her hand on her waist. "You won't let me anywhere close to you and I had nowhere else to stay. I pleaded for a place to stay but you wouldn't agree until I offered to be a maid, which you gladly agreed to."

Reynard walked up to her and held her by her hand. "You know I wouldn't do that if Lucifer hadn't played a trick with me, right?"
