The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in fiery hues. As dusk settled, Wang Jian rose to his feet, a determined glint in his eyes.
"Time to get to work," he announced, his voice a low rumble.
Yin Lian watched him with a mix of curiosity and disappointment. "You're not taking me with you?" she asked, a pout forming on her lips.
Wang Jian chuckled. "Trust me, High Priestess, you wouldn't be much help in those high-security locations. My skillset is better suited for this particular task."
While a part of her yearned to witness his methods firsthand, she knew he was right. Sneaking into heavily guarded storages wasn't exactly a team effort. With a sigh, she conceded, "Alright, be careful out there."
A predatory grin spread across his face. "Always."
