Bab 13: Spy
John on the other hand had another thing on his mind 'What the fuck was that, how could I get so scared from just looking at him" John thought, it was a strange encounter for him, According to his girlfriend, her brother had been in a 3 years coma, even though he looked like a teenager he was the same age as he is, so how could he get scared from looking at a him.
"What do you mean cold heart, I have a perfectly normal heart" Aloy responded while pouting causing Tommy to smile, it has been three years since he last saw this side of his sister.
"I was just joking, so why did you bring your friends to come to see me," Tommy asked
"Don't tell me you don't remember Elisa"
"Why should I remember Elisa, have we met before" Tommy looked at Elisa trying to recollect if he had seen her before his coma, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't remember.
"Did you lose your memory during your coma?" Elisa said looking at Tommy with a surprised expression on her face, how could this idiot forget about her easily, after all the time they spent together as a kid?
"Tommy seriously you must be joking right, you don't remember brother's daughter Elisa," Aloy said. She had this feeling that Tommy was trying to play a prank on them.
'What the heck is going on, the last time I checked Harry had no kid before I went into a coma and even if it was after my coma she should be 3 or 4 years old, not this grown up' As if someone was playing with his brain immediately new memories of the times he spent with Elisa flooded his brain causing Tommy to hold his head out of pain.
"Tom are you alright," Elisa asked as they could all see the painful expression on his face.
'This isn't my memory, did someone just implant those memories into mine, what are they trying to gain from doing so' he thought as he looked around trying to find the people responsible, he had this feeling that the person was not far away.
"Am fine, and of course I remember Eli, I just wanted to see your expressions" He said jokingly, what the heck is going on he wondered.
Something was not right, he knew it, the new memories were not adding up, he could see different loopholes, places he had never been before, and things he had not done before.
Not wanting to come off as a deranged person, he decided to figure it out later, so he gathered his acting skills and went along with it. They spent several hours catching up, what he realized after spending time with John was that the guy was a cool dude.
"so when do I get to leave this place," Tommy asked, he was already getting tired of seeing the same scenery every day.
"I don't know, but Dad said soon, just hang in there okay, we don't want you falling sick again" Aloy replied.
Meanwhile, as the group continued catching up, a dark figure stood before Tommy's room, observing him.
"How is this possible, his Ira energy has increased by a lot since the last time I saw him, but still no sight of the devil he contracted, or is he like them" The dark figure pondered on the matter, it had been checking up on Tommy ever since it smelt a devil aura around him.
For what reasons it decided to stay and observe Tommy even the dark figure had no idea why all it knew was to keep an eye on the boy with a devil's aura, it was a command it couldn't disobey even if it had no idea who gave it that command.
"Kira, what are you doing standing there," Sara asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Nothing, just coming to clean this room but I think I will have to come back later, seems like a family gathering is taking place" Kira replied pushing her cleaning equipment to the other room.
"You have been acting strange, what is wrong with you" Sara had noticed a little bit of change to Kira's personality for a couple of weeks now, but she didn't want to bring up the matter until now.
"Am fine, well..... just forgot about it, I have work to do, are you going to help inside of standing there staring at your crush?" Kira said, when Sara heard Kira calling Tommy her crush she immediately blushed, it was true that she had been developing some sort of feelings for Tommy but it was too early to decide, Sara followed Kira as they continued to clean the rooms in the hospital.
3 weeks later
It had been 3 weeks since Tommy witnessed Jane single-handedly destroy a Knight level rogue devil, that could cause great catastrophe to this little city.
Tommy had been sending his time mastering his card tricks, he could make a card disappear and reappear anywhere he wanted, as long as it is within his vicinity, he had also been watching a lot of magic shows lately for inspiration, and just like his first time watch the card trick, after watching the videos for a while, the theory of the magic trick would slowly implant themselves into his mind, making him understand the trick better.
But when it comes to practice, he could not get a hang over it, and since he was still in the hospital, his practice space was limited, so he could only increase his mastery over his card trick, and if he was to comment on his card tricks, he would call himself a master of card tricks, from the disappearing cards to throwing card and more.
Learning how to throw a paper card was the hardest to learn, at first he couldn't even throw the card a few meters away from himself, but after days of trial and error, he had any idea what if he could cover the card with the dark smoke like what Jane did when fighting the devil.
Although it was easier said than done, he had no idea how to do it, after 2 weeks of trying every he could find online about sensing your inner Qi like yoga, he finally found a way to sense a little amount of dark smoke surging inside his body.
Although the amount of dark smoke was tiny, it could still cover the deck cards, well a few cards before he run out of dark smoke, although Tommy called it dark smoke it wasn't actually smoke, it could be molded into any shape the welder wants, since he saw Jane's aura he had subconsciously mold his into dark smoke.
After learning to throw cards Tommy showed his new skills to Sara first before his family, Aloy was shocked to learn that his brother who knew nothing about card tricks before his coma, began to show off some card tricks, but she didn't think too much of it, she had heard of people picking up new skills after coma and Tommy explained to her that he had too much free time on his hands to he decided to learn card tricks.
And as long as her brother was fine as well, she didn't mind it was also fun to watch live card tricks from a semi-professional.
It was late into the night, Tommy was sleeping inside his room when all of a sudden he found himself in the last place he wanted to be, in the place he called hell
